Art from straws and paper plates
Tara Donovan is an artist who makes massive sculptures from small items found in everyday life. The picture above is made from thousands of clear plastic drinking straws. Other art installations are made from Styrofoam cups, pencils, paper plates, and buttons. All of the art is really amazing.

This is art as (I think) it should be: give you new sights - on things you think you already know very well or that are even too trivial to think really about.
Now I'm thinking what I could collect to transform it into nice art...

Just haven't had the time to try it out yet. I still plan to do it one day, but I'm not sure when that will be.
