Sunrise and sunset times anywhere in the world

Gaisma lets you see the sunrise and sunset times for your city, anywhere in the world. It will also give you the current time and relative position of the sun to your city.
If you are like me, and don't usually get up for the sunrise, this can be pretty useful. It can also be useful in planning for outdoor evening events.

Check out the current sunset/sunrise times for my home town, Pensacola Florida
Then look up your own city on the site: www.gaisma.com

  • Interesting link. At the moment my days are 1 hour longer than yours. In 6 months it will be contrary. In any case you have much more sun.
O.K. not really astonishing. But it's shown very nice on this site.

  • Being farther south than you are, it would make sense that I would have more sun overall than you would.

  • By the way - talking about time: in this blog the comments are marked only with time. In your other blog there is - as it seems reasonable to me - also shown the actual date (both from a certain time-zone).
Is this your decision or made by blogger?

  • Oversight on my part. Blogger lets me choose the format, and I hadn't fixed it here.
    Fixed now.

  • To your 1st comment (10:54 AM):

    :-)

To your 2nd comment (11:00 AM):

  • There's a routine within the PHP programming language to display sunrise/sunset. It's kind of fun because if you have a PHP-driven blog site, you can add your own "sunrise/sunset" on your blog.

    Kind of fun.
    Here's the link: http://us.php.net/manual/en/function.date-sunrise.php
